I'm Going Slightly Mad

Para quienes no hayan notado que la separación del titulo del blog es un accidente… les entregamos una pieza del glorioso grupo musical Queen. La canción se llama “I'm Going Slightly Mad” y pertenece al disco Innuendo, lanzado en 1991.

"I'm Going Slightly Mad" es una cancion de Queen, escrita por Freddie Mercury. Aunque el video publicitario de esta cancoin muestra la cancion como humorística y simpática, mucha gente cree que su letra tiene que ver con una demencia inducida por el SIDA que sufría Freddie Mercury. No tiene absolutamente nada que ver con eso... por si alguien aún lo piensa. Es sencillamente humorística y simpática.

La tapa del single fue inspirada por una pintura de Grandeville, así como todas las tapas de los singles del disco, y el mismo disco.


EL VIDEO

El video de esta cancion es uno de los más famosos, y más alocados de Queen, junto con el de Bohemian Rhapsody y I Want to Break Free.

El video es de "LA DUPLA" DoRo, Rudi Dolezal y Hannes Rossacher, que ya habían hecho los videos en otros discos de la banda, como por ejemplo, el emblemático video del tren en Breaktrhu. Este videíto en blanco y negro era un tanto loco, con la presencia de un pingüino, un gorila (que resultó ser Elton John), un triciclo, plátanos, una tetera hirviendo y más flores que la cresta, todo ello componiendo la realización de este video.

Este video, junto con "These are the Days of our Lives" fue el último que filmó Freddie Mercury. Esto es del 15 de Febrero de 1991, y ya podíamos ver a Freddie con una imagen muy cambiante, mucho más delgado. Además, el lugar en el que se hizo el video (los Wembley Studios) estaba acondicionado especialmente para proteger la alicaída salud del maestro Freddie.
